Serve in the Children's Ministry...
Hillside Children's Ministry loves their volunteers and our volunteers love Hillside’s Kids! Each weekend we serve an average of 350-400 or more kids! This huge task would not be possible without the 100 or so volunteers that make it all happen.
There are many ways to get involved serving God by serving our kids. From on-stage teaching to the tech team, from leading a small group of 4th grade boys to rocking babies, we have a place for any gifting, temperament and schedule. You can serve on the weekend or even during the week, helping us prepare for our weekend ministry.
If you serve in KZone, Zone1, Zone23 or Zone45 you will experience the new workshop rotation model that will focus for six weeks on a single virtue, verse and/or Biblical story. There will be a number of lab style workshops-drama, Bible skills, arts and crafts, recreation, cooking, science, etc. that will allow volunteers to deepen their faith walk and discover the joy of serving others by responding to opportunities for gift based ministry. Our students will rotate each week from workshop to workshop, beginning with an exciting large group program to start off the series. Children will have more fun while learning more and retaining more about the Bible.
Because we want both our kids and volunteers to have the best experience possible each weekend, we begin this fall with training and encouragement sessions for All our volunteers on September 12th & 13th. These sessions will provide you with the necessary information to make your service a pleasurable time spent serving our Lord and seeing our Hillside kids grow in God's truths.
All of our volunteers undergo an application process, which includes a background check. This helps ensure everyone’s safety while in our ministry.
