Marriage On The ROCK!

Are you interested in growing your marriage? Hillside’s Marriage Ministry will facilitate a 12-week small group using the DVD series from Pastor Jimmy Evans’ teachings entitled Marriage On The Rock.

Pastor Jimmy Evans and his wife Karen are the founders of the ministry Marriage Today. Here is an excerpt from their website about the series:

Society requires years of preparation for almost any significant career endeavor, but demands no real preparation for one of the most crucial undertakings in life: marriage. In an age of disposable marriage and information overload, where can couples turn for real answers that will make their relationships work? Only to God.

 Prepare/Enrich Pre-Marital Mentoring Process

Are you in a serious dating relationship or planning on getting married? This spring Hillside will begin offering the Prepare and Enrich program, which is an 8 week class along with being paired with a mentoring couple to complete a pre-marital assessment. The completion of this program waives the $60 marriage license fee in Texas. For more information, please contact Dale and Julie Dean at dale.dean.ii@gmail.com.

Marriage Counseling Available

Hillside refers married couples to a number of Christian counselors in the DFW area.  One of those counselors is a Masters Level counselor currently enrolled in a counseling program at Dallas Theological Seminary.  He is completing his practicum hours and working under the supervision of DTS and the director of His Story, Dr. Matthew LaGrange.  He meets with clients on the campus at Hillside and because he is getting his practicum hours, he can provide counseling at a reduced rate.  Please contact the church office to get more information, 817-379-1052.
