Kid Zone (Hillside’s Children’s Ministry) is designed to be a blast for kids and a breeze for parents. We want kids to LOVE coming to church, where they will LEARN who Jesus really is, so they can LIVE like He lived.

Our Ministry Is Divided Into Two Main Age Groups.

Discovery Zone (Birth – Kindergarten)

 

Children in Discovery Zone learn about Jesus in a loving and secure environment. Puppet shows, Bible stories, Worship Songs, and Hands-On Activities are all part of the fun. Discovery Zone is open for both the 9:30am and 11:15am Sunday services.

Workshop Zone (1st – 5th Grades)

 

Workshop Zone takes to heart that we learn in a variety of ways. Children in Workshop Zone engage in a variety of activities to enhance the learning of Biblical truths. Children focus on one theme every six weeks. The first week, children are engaged in a large group setting with dynamic Bible teaching and relevant worship that introduce the six-week series. For the remaining five weeks, children attend “workshops” centered around the series theme. Workshops include art, drama, memory verse & games, storytelling, science, drama & worship.

Workshop Zone is open for both the 9:30 am and 11:15 am Sunday services.  Parents of children in Workshop Zone check in and pick up their children in zones according to their grade:

Zone 1:  1st Grade

Zone 2:  2nd Grade

Zone 3:  3rd Grade

Zone 4:  4th Grade

Zone 5:  5th Grade

GEMS (God’s Exceptional Miracles)

The GEMS ministry at Hillside offers a loving environment for children with special needs.  Children are cared for by compassionate adults that seek to demonstrate the love of Jesus to every child.  This ministry is only available during the 11:15am Sunday service.
