San Antonio Mission Trips
Hillside Student Ministries is passionate about our focused relationship with our inner-city sister churches, Young Vision and Agora located in San Antonio. Three times a year we have the opportunity to visit these ministries and participate in events such as feeding the homeless, holding “free” garage sales, inviting the community to church, hosting Vacation Bible School for the neighborhood kids and blessing our friends with outreach items such as Easter eggs and Christmas gifts. For many students, mission trips are pivotal in their spiritual awakening as young men and women. Join us in San Antonio this year for these exciting trips.
San Antonio Easter Eggstravaganza Mission Trip
In partnership with our sister churches in San Antonio, thousands of Easter eggs are collected and transported to San Antonio for a huge community outreach event. This event is an exciting way for the Student Ministry to partner with our Children’s Ministry and church body as each group works to collect eggs filled with non-melting candy. Hillside students travel to San Antonio to serve the community through an amazing outreach program designed to share the good news about Jesus through music, food, fun and of course, The Big Hunt.

San Antonio Summer Mission Trip
One of the most impactful trips we participate in is our Summer Mission Trip. This trip encompasses an entire week that includes hosting Vacation Bible School for the kids at both the Young Vision and Agora locations. Our students have the opportunity to journey out into the projects, pick up the neighborhood kids and share Jesus’ light as they teach them about Jesus. Each participant has the opportunity to work in the community by being involved in selected construction projects. The opportunities to share Jesus are exhibited in ways such as feeding the homeless who stay under the bridge. The intensity of this trip necessitates that all attendees satisfy certain requirements. The students must have completed 7th grade to participate in a summer mission trip and training is required for maximum effectiveness and safety.
