Care Ministry

At Hillside, we believe that people experience the greatest level of care when involved in a community group where others are there to pray for them, care for them, and share life with them.

There are times that the Hillside Care Ministry will join to help in providing support to these individuals. In addition, the Care Ministry provides support for those individuals who have not yet had a chance to get involved in a community group. Care support is provided through such things as the following:

➢➢Prayer Team – A team that sends out a weekly Prayer Journal of requests submitted by the Hillside family and also coordinates weekly intercessory prayer. See page 19 for more information.

➢➢Card Team – Writing notes of encouragement to those with a care need.

➢➢Meals – Taking meals to those with a care need.

➢➢Repair Team – Making minor repairs for individuals that are not able to do it themselves.

We could not provide these different avenues of care if it were not for the dedicated people who volunteer in the Care Ministry. We are always in need of additional people to join with us in serving families when they are experiencing a care need in their life. Prayer Ministry

The purpose of the Hillside Prayer Ministry is to intercede before our mighty God and everlasting Father on behalf of the Hillside family. In keeping with scripture, we seek the guidance and counsel of the Holy Spirit in every aspect of our ministry and offer our prayers in the name of our Lord Jesus. We are available to pray about any matter of concern to a member of the Hillside Family.

Weekly Prayer Journal – Every week, Hillside emails a Prayer Journal listing prayer needs in our community. If you have a prayer request and would like it put on the prayer journal or would like to be on the distribution list so you can pray for these needs, please email it to Carolyn Wakefield cwakefield@yourhillside.com.

Intercessory Prayer – Please join us for intercessory prayer before the first service on Sunday mornings at 8:00 am in the Cry Room. During this time, we lift up our church families and individuals in need, as well as our nation and people around the world. First Steps Ministry

This ministry is designed to provide the expectant mom and family with prayer and encouragement throughout her pregnancy and beyond, as the child becomes a part of the Children’s Ministry. A mentor mom is assigned to an expectant mother to guide her along the pathway of pregnancy and to answer any questions she may have. She is responsible for staying in contact with the expectant mom on a consistent basis. Not only does First Steps build friendships between women at Hillside, but also mothers get a one-on-one mentor and a person she can go to for continuous support.
