Prayer Ministry
Hillside has a vibrant and active Prayer Ministry. Please join us during the first service on Sunday mornings at 8:00am in the Cry Room for Prayer Time. We lift up our church families and individuals in need, as well as our nation and people around the world. If you have a need and would like to receive prayer from leaders in the church, we encourage you to join us.
If you have a prayer request that you would like placed into the prayer journal, please submit your request by emailing prayerministry@yourhillside.com.
The Prayer Ministry also organizes periodic “24 hour days of prayer” to have the entire church body praying upcoming special events.
Care Ministry
Mission: to provide care to individuals in our church beyond what community groups can provide. The ministry is broken down into the following areas:
- Card Team – Writing notes of encouragement to those with a care need.
- Meal Preparation – Taking meals to those with a care need.
- Repair Team – Making minor repairs for individuals that are not able to do it themselves.
- Moving Team – Helping individuals when they are moving and need a few extra hands.
- Parental Care Support Group – A group for individuals/couples that are caring for an elderly parent. The group meets periodically throughout the semester to share information and to encourage and pray for one another. First Steps Ministry
What is First Steps?
The First Steps Ministry is designed to provide the expectant mom and family with prayer and encouragement throughout her pregnancy and beyond, as the child becomes a part of the Discovery Zone. A volunteer is assigned to an expectant mother to guide her along the pathway of pregnancy and to answer any questions she may have. She is responsible for staying in contact with the expectant mom on a consistent basis. Not only does First Steps build friendships between women at Hillside, but mothers get a one on one mentor and a person she can go to for continuous support.
