Speak Life in the Valley, Ezekiel 37
Discussion & Practice
- Read Ezekiel 37:1-14 & Ephesians 2:1-7. Try to describe the spiritual condition of anyone who is apart from God.
- Read Romans 3:10-12. Can a spiritually dead person even seek after God according to this passage? What does it take for someone to come to life in Jesus?
- Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” What are some ways you've experienced how a person's words—either yours or someone else’s—have brought life or destruction?
- When God asked Ezekiel, “Can these bones live?” Ezekiel responded, “O Lord God, you know.” What does his response teach us about trusting God in impossible situations?
- At first, the dry bones were restored physically, but they didn’t come alive until God breathed His Spirit into them. Share a time when you've been frustrated by what appears to be signs of life in someone close to you, but you know they haven't yet come alive in Jesus.
- What is your biggest challenge in opening your mouth to share the gospel with someone? What are some ways you can intentionally speak life into the people around you this week?
