The Lifeless Majority, Revelation 3:1-6
Notes
- Read Revelation 3:1-6. The church in Sardis has a reputation on the outside of being alive, but is spiritually dead inside. What are some ways a church and its members can give the appearance of life but really be spiritually dead?
- Where does your inner life and outer life match up and show integrity? Where might they be at odds?
- Jesus tells the church to wake up. What is the difference between dozing off and being spiritually dead?
- Pastor Pete said that we all doze off at one time or another. Where might you be most at risk of drifting or being lulled into complacency right now?
- Assess your heart: Can I be alone with God? Or is my whole spiritual life in public where people can see?
- Jesus tells the church to Remember, to Keep, and to Repent. Which part of this stood out to you the most in the sermon today? Do you need to remember what you received from Christ, keep holding onto it through a hard trial, or repent from dozing off and turn back to Jesus?
