Greetings from God, Revelation 1:4-8
Notes
- Read Revelation 1:4-8. Consider why Revelation opens with worship instead of explanations about the end times and whatever is coming. Start your time together in prayer, worshipping God for who he is before you start your discussion.
- How does seeing God as the one “who was, who is, and who is to come” reshape your own fears about the future? Or how should it?
- What would it mean for you to get a jolt in your worship and your witness right now? What are you expecting in this season as we go through the book of Revelation?
- What does it mean that Scripture is not just information about God, but access to God? How does that change the way we read Revelation, or the whole Bible in general?
- How does a big view of God produce stamina, courage, and sacrifice in real life? And where do you most need that kind of stamina right now?
- What would change in your life this week if you lived in light of Christ's coming?
